December : Clementine's third and last litter arrived safely on the morning of 16th December. 3 dogs, 3 bitches. Delighted ...... sire is the breed's top winner and Annie's sire Ch Latour. look for him on the Soletrader PBGV website - he's the top winning BFdB again this year.
A December photograph from "kennel Vetterli" of Mochras Marzipan ( Lille Miss), she is very keen on hunting around her home in Norway and is wearing a tracking collar.
October - Melchior BIS at the bfdb club championship show with Annie best puppy and Lucy first novice. what a day......
Two Irish Champions made up this year, Chs Clementine and her son Milo. Milo was also best of breed at the Basset Club of Ireland show and the National ( Dublin). He's won lots of firsts this year and was Best of Breed at Romsey open show. He loves to show and is such a great dog to take out and about.
Clementine has entered veteran aged 7 and won res CC from that class at the Hound show. She's also been reserve best bitch at three Ch shows with no CCs on offer and BOB at SE Hound
Melchior is beginning to mature nicely and to concentrate on his showing, he was also BOB at Reading open show and reserve best dog at Paignton, Bournemouth and Richmond.
Annie ( Mahogany) has had a fantastic puppy year, winning BP with res BB on her debut at Paignton. She's won best puppy in breed at all her open shows with best AV hound puppy at SE Hound. In Ireland she was given the top grading of "very promising" at every show, was 4th in the puppy group at the Hound show there, 2nd in the puppy group ( group 6) at the International Dublin and reserve green star on four occasions. Not bad for 8 months!
Her sister Maple ( Caroline and Garth Buckle) has been to one show and was Best bitch at Richmond. Well done - and i do hope they can be talked into showing her again.

We decided to keep Mahogany ( Annie) from the ch Latour litter... this at 10 weeks.
We "adopted" Hibeck Creme Brulee in January, she is a yearling ( Jan 10) daughter of irish ch Popcorn and has a more than passing resemblance to her sire.
